George TzokosI wrote this story in hopes that the reader will feel a sense of acceptance and understanding, that everyone is special in their own unique way. In a world full of judgement we place too much emphasis on what other people's perception of us is and we tend to forget how beautiful each and everyone of us is individually.This story came to me in the winter of 2018. On a cold snowy night In the city of Boston while walking down the street a friend from a small rural town in Massachusetts called me and told me she wanted to move to Boston. She asked if I could find a small apartment, somewhere in the city where she could have a little goat as a pet. I laughed but immediately began to think of how that little goat would fit in, in a big city. My next thoughts brought me back to my childhood. My family moved to this country from Greece when I was seven. Before I Knew it I was thrown into the first grade halfway through the school year. I'll never forget the way it felt not to fit in. Not knowing the language, completely feeling lost and frightened. I did everything to fit in until I realized that just being myself was all I needed to make friends. Now living in New Hampshire I Finally decided to write the story hoping, that it will help other Children.I want to thank Jamie Stewart for her help creating Ella. The pictures are what really brought Ella alive.
