The Change Quelled

When I set to research, I intended to find evidence and example of foreign "interventions" in African states in the post colonialism era. The name of Patrice Lumumba brought me on this journey. Yet I discovered a range of revolutionary leaders who, in attempts to either free their society from colonialists or corruption, were assassinated. They either opposed the interests of world powers or internal power hungry powers. I was led from one name to other as some authors made comparison to other independence movements and leaders. The range of works, historical time periods, the leadership positions, and strategies applied by these change agents are the history lessons I want my generation to study.
