Screen Daemon is an application that focuses on recognizing screen regions, showing their common actions, and offering a GUI interface to navigate the content. It's purpose is to be used by people who are blind or have trouble using applications (such as World Wide Web pages) without seeing their content. The first version is of course command-line driven, but for future versions support will be added for configuration via the Preferences/Preferences dialog window.
Screendd is the first application I know of that creates a screen viewer that produces a screen reader-like experience. While the focus of the GUI is on making the screen reader-like experience, the GUI is not specific to the screen reader-like experience.

What is Screen Daemon?
Screen Daemon is a small Windows application designed to be used by people who are blind or have trouble using applications (such as World Wide Web pages) without seeing their content. It was created by me to be a screen reader and a screen reader utility.
What does "screen reader utility" mean?
Screen Daemon is not a full-featured screen reader application. The features it can offer are low level, not high level. In other words, Screen Daemon is not likely to be the tool you would use for following hyperlinks in a web browser, or a web page. It doesn't have any fancy graphics support, and doesn't have any fancy user interface for managing applications. The application is designed to offer features that make it easier to use your screen reader. For example, it lets you know what actions are common for a certain control (like, if you press the Spacebar for the calendar, it usually works for the calendar, too, so you don't need to keep pressing).
The focus of this program is on helping the user to access content without seeing the content. Therefore, it is not a program to run on a computer that you will use to go shopping or accomplish other day-to-day tasks. It is designed to be run from a CD-ROM. This application can be used in the same way as any other screen reader, but it is designed to complement Narrator.

This application is a screen reader utility that is designed to read an
X screen session, or any file that describes a screen, when it
is displayed. A screen session can be composed of X windows, i.e.
plural screen, or a number of X windows, as in a window manager
session. Also, an X screen session is defined as a name if that is
named in the XF86Config file. For example, on an IBM Lotus Notes
database window manager, the session name would be Notes.
However, the program will work with any application that displays a
screen or window, i.e. not just text mode only applications.
The program requires that the X screen server be installed, which is
an X server with DISPLAY configured for the server. The application
can use a mouse cursor to follow around, and will highlight screen
items when they are active. If a window is pressed with the mouse, it
is closed, or if the "special" key is pressed, then it will be
attempted to read out the text in the window.

The Screen Daemon Download With Full Crack also reads out the content of each "menu bar"
window, i.e. the application menu, the file menu, etc. If a window
is pressed with the mouse, each menu item on the menu bar is
highlighted.
The application does not read out options in menus and the dialogs
that are presented by the application in question, but it could be
modified to do so.
The application is currently of very limited use. It does some
minor features, but it is intended to be simple and generic.
Windows (or other screen items) can be created with the application.
When they are created, the application can read out the screen
information, and control its window.

The default file is read when the application is started. It
will find and read out the simple screen that will be used, as
described above. If no screen name is specified in the XF86Config,
it uses a screen name of "Default"
