Legendary Planet: To Worlds Unknown is a standalone adventure for 1st to 5th level characters which can be played as a standalone adventure or as the first main chapter in the Legendary Planet Adventure Path.
You take on the role of a Starfinder hero in the midst of the galactic struggle for survival and supremacy over a strange universe of bizarre alien worlds and alien cultures.
Your heroes, only dimly aware of the struggle going on beyond the portal of their own world, might begin this adventure tale as worldly citizens of a star-spanning society or as inhabitants of a backwater world drawn into a fantastic adventure beyond anything they can imagine. Either way, the setting of Legendary Planet: To Worlds Unknown is guaranteed to take your heroes to the outer reaches of the cosmos and the far-flung adventure known only as "Legendary Planet."
An Adventure for 1st to 5th-Level Characters
Legendary Planet is designed to provide players with an amazing experience as they play through the adventure as they progress through the Legendary Planet Adventure Path. With its self-contained adventure, your players and characters will be propelled into a fantastic universe of exotic pulp adventure as the sword and planet genre comes to life on Legendary Planet!
To start this adventure, you must choose your adventure path. There are 3 possible paths you can take through the adventure and each one comes with benefits and drawbacks that make the choice a difficult one:
The Final Aeon, Level 1-2
Great powers have fallen, and little is known beyond the epic struggle going on between the Clans of the Poisoned Scar and the Rhoma Ghouls.
The Final Aeon, Level 3-5
The world of Legendary Planet is the dying world of the Starfinder galaxy that has been torn apart and broken by the extreme energies and rifts which have become the norm over the last few hundred years.
The Liberated Soul, Level 6-9
The defeat of Nerkut (the Gallentine Hierarch) has caused a "Revergence" to occur and open a new path of evolution for all life throughout the galaxy. Those who lived before the Liberation now find themselves in a new solar system and an unknown galactic environment while the elgants (galactic insectoids) of the Anthean civilization probe the mysteries of this new section of the galaxy with up to date technology.

In the Starfinder RPG, the characters can play as a team of four adventurers for the first part of the adventure and can then continue on as individuals through the remainder. The characters are two humans, a human/elven hybrid, and a half-drow ranger.
The adventuring party is accompanied by a sky pirate and a goblin warrior, one of the party's companions is a human/elven ranger, one is a human rogue, and the fourth member is a dwarf cleric.
The group sets out to recover an ancient edict of the gods that has been uncovered in a ruined library aboard an abandoned freighter. The relic describes a series of cryptic messages, ancient magical artifacts, and unknown routes which suggest the possibility of travel to other worlds beyond those they know, and the discovery of an ancient forerunner race that populated the worlds before them.
Each of the four PCs then acts as a companion to this secretive network of travelers, accompanying them on the first leg of their mission while they struggle to understand just where they are, why they are here, and who is behind this scheme.

The quest to explore the stars in search of new worlds, new systems, and new resources is an age old one. Galactic empires and their counterparts on the myriad worlds have vied for the power of the stars since the dawn of recorded history. Like the classic trading ports of the Mediterranean, traders in the deserts of Khitaa and the hills of Amnra have set up their headquarters on worlds that have been conquered by they or their rivals. At the other end of the scale, some players have taken steps to find their own private worlds to develop. The first of these often act as the halfway stage, a staging point where players can make the jump from the resources of a single world to the stars, or from exploration on one world to invasion of their rivals'. Between the two of these extremes lie the worlds whose economies are built around the resources that the stars provide. Some of these worlds are developed and populated in spite of the constant threat of invasion. Others are only ‘halfway’ stages, and still others are primary targets of conquest.The players and GMs who play in the Starfinder Roleplaying Game must work their characters through this variety of worlds.
