The RS PRO-2052 allows you to make amateur radio contact over a wide-area network using your computer. You can communicate with another amateur radio operator across a number of networks, including analog and digital voice transmission over the radio spectrum as well as remote control of your scanner by selecting frequencies and modes. RS PRO-2052 supports all U.S. coast to coast amateur radio bands and satellite voice modes as well as an external antenna connector and a transceiver output jack for logging and monitoring.
This application will allow you to program the PRO-2052 into receiving and transmitting more than 20 separate frequencies and modes, as well as altering the scanning sequences and timing out the Internal loop time of the scanner.
The program is created in Visual Basic.Net and is based on the RS PRO-2052PC programming User's Manual. The program also has the ability to network with the RS PRO-2052 PC.
The RS PRO-2052 network software is compatible with the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems.
Keyboard Shortcuts
￭ Main menu functions (Back, Reset, Transmission, Scan, Setup) can be accessed from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
￭ Start, Stop, Scan keys on the keyboard are bound to functions in the menu bar.
￭ When Scan is selected, the rest of the menu bar functions are bound to the Scan keys on the keyboard.
￭ All radio functions are bound to keystrokes in the Scan window.
￭ Enter and scan the alpha-numeric values of
modes and frequencies below the Radio window.
￭ Release the keys or press Esc to exit the menu bar or Scan window.
￭ Press Scan and B to display the frequency and signal strength information of the scanners radio tuning frequencies and channels.
￭ Press Transmit and Enter to transmit the selected frequency using the external radio connector.
￭ Press Scan and C to display the computer channel and internal loop number for the scanners antenna.
￭ Press Scan and P to toggle the on/off polarity of the scanners internal loop.
￭ Press Scan and D to select the type of modulation being used by the scanner, AM or FM.
￭ Press Scan and R to select the Scan type, Automatic, Manual, Standard, Short, Long, EXT, and PRG.
