Culturomics is the study of human behavior and cultural trends through quantitative analysis of digitized text (Cohen, 2010). A huge topic that is heavily discussed in the media is the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. While there are a great number of issues associated with this movement, police brutality seems to be especially heated. 
I decided to monitor discussions on Twitter on the topic of police brutality. Police brutality (#policebrutality)topics have proliferated the conversation and intersects other topics such as police reform (#policereform), defund the police (#defundthepolice), and police violence (#policeviolence). Examples of police brutality include police attacking protesters and especially black people . According to an article titled "Black Lives Matter: Police brutality in the era of COVID-19," the leading cause of death for black men is police violence (Jean, 2020) Police brutality continues to be a problem that seems to have no end in sight.
