New Data Shows Strong Air Pollution Policies Lengthen Life Expectancy

A majority of the top English and Hindi media outlets, including NDTV, Zee News, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran, Navbharat Times, Hindustan, reported the findings of the AQLI annual report. Close to 150 Indian media outlets in nine languages from more than 12 states, including all significant new agencies, have talked about the report. And these mentions are not just on the news page but also hour-long TV shows have been aired around it, and findings have been featured on the edit page of several publications. Citizens, policymakers, and media outlets have used the findings to create discussions on social media. A reasonable assumption is that the press mentions in India might have resulted in more than 200 million Indians getting exposed to the findings.
