Players share Robux, a virtual currency, to purchase items from the store. The most common purchases are furniture, which users can use to customize their home spaces. Roblox Corporation hires over 10,000 people to work as moderators to police content created in user-created worlds. In 2014, Roblox banned the Roblox Live API, stating that it was an attack vector and that the APIs were insecure.
Since its launch in 2006, Roblox has been used by over 50 million registered users and more than one million daily active users. Roblox was once the most popular gaming platform in the United States and the global leader in the age group 4 to 12. Roblox is available on most modern web browsers.
