HONG KONG, MAY 31, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Avatar Holdings Limited (HKEX: HHK) today announced the results of its 2016/17 financial year, confirming that it has reached HK$5 billion (US$0.64 billion) of asset under management under its Ava Fund managed by Ava Capital and two other funds that Ava Capital manages, the Ava Credit Fund and the Ava Corporate Fund. In addition, the investment firm has doubled its registered capital to HK$10 billion (US$1.37 billion).
Avatar Holdings Limited is a leading Asian asset manager, with its core business being the management of institutional managed funds. The firm has offices in Hong Kong and China. Since the founding of Avatar Holdings in 2014, Ava Capital has been managing three portfolios. The Ava Fund under Ava Capital was launched in December 2015. In addition to Ava Fund, Ava Capital has also been managing two other funds that Ava Capital manages, the Ava Credit Fund and the Ava Corporate Fund. The Ava Credit Fund, launched in March 2017, invests in pre-distressed corporate debt. The Ava Corporate Fund, launched in November 2017, is a long-only fund that invests in investment-grade corporate credit and distressed corporate debt.
