AutoCAD Crack's popularity grew rapidly and surpassed most other CAD programs in the first few years after the program was released. In 1984, the World Bank commissioned a study comparing the use of AutoCAD with other CAD programs. The study concluded that although AutoCAD was less flexible and less powerful than competing CAD programs, it was generally considered the better-designed program. By 1988, "AutoCAD" was a registered trademark of Autodesk, Inc.
Autodesk split AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT into separate programs in 2009, but the latter is still referred to as AutoCAD. It runs on a wide range of machines, from PCs to workstations to large workgroup and enterprise server installations.
History
AutoCAD was originally called "ACAD" (Automatic Computer-Aided Design) and was developed by Ray Lorig and Dan Ostling as part of their doctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University, where they were involved in work on the first entry-level bitmap graphics system in the 1980s. They originally planned to sell the program as a built-in feature of an MSX computer they were developing for the Department of Defense.
The first version of AutoCAD was released in December 1982. It was initially distributed for MS-DOS-based platforms, as well as in disk form for MS-DOS Workbench, running on the GEMDOS family of microcomputers. Version 1.0 of AutoCAD supported a fixed-position mouse, which became the standard for all subsequent versions. AutoCAD was one of the first commercial CAD software applications to introduce a view-dependent or "snapping" feature, which allows the user to quickly move to the nearest location in the drawing where a graphic object exists, usually just a few mouse clicks.
In the early 1980s, a number of other companies were trying to create CAD programs. In 1983, Quicken Systems (now owned by Intuit) introduced an early stand-alone CAD application called Quicken Architect. Also in 1983, Computer Associates introduced their own commercially available MSX-based CAD system, called CAD Express, which was later distributed as part of the publishing package, PhotoDraft. In 1986, Accucad Inc., a small company based in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, acquired rights to the AutoCAD trademark and created AccuCAD. By 1988, AccuCAD had over 250,000 registered users and the name was trademarked by Accucad

Because of the wide variety of formats used by AutoCAD, the industry standards (XML, DITA, JATS, ECT) were created to facilitate the exchange of the data. An earlier version of this format was used in the file exchange file format as a standard for CAD exchange.

is there a c# equivalent of the perl function'split'
In perl we can split a string by using 
@parts = split(" ",$string)
and the result is a list of string where $string is a string with the 'glue'
What would be the equivalent of this in C#. If I had a string which may contain more than one word and I want to split it and give each word as a string in a list.
I tried 
string[] str = "This is a test string".Split(" ");
but this gives 
There is no method 'Split' on the List class.
