What did I write?
I don't think that I wrote anything more than some refactoring, converting from Java to Objective-C and eventually to Swift. This is possibly the last time I will be doing that as I am moving over to Swift.
Refactoring just to refactor
I believe I worked on a few of my own projects that I am currently not working on anymore. As I just don't find myself interested in working on any of them.
The most valuable project I worked on that I am not working on anymore is my question answering library, Sphinx-Query. The reason for that is that I am totally satisfied with it's performance and it's less than a day to setup it on a new Mac.
I also worked on my open source project Nimble which is a Git based issue tracker for iOS projects. It is open source and uses Swift and Objective-C.
Other
I've been reading a bit about Swift. My favorite books about Swift currently are Swift Playground and The Swift Programming Language and the blog posts of the three co-founders.
Swift Playground in particular is my favorite. The reason for that is that it is a true beginners book about Swift. You start out on the Swift playground and then slowly work your way up to Swift as a programming language.
The other books I have read so far are mostly about how Swift differs from Objective-C. The books I have read so far that discuss Swift and its advantages over Objective-C are:
I might as well keep reading if I am interested in Swift.
A last word about my Mac
I used to use a MacBook Pro Retina when I was working on my iOS projects. Because I was not happy with the built-in trackpad. And because I was not happy with the MacBook Pro Retina keyboard. It is just like a regular MacBook Pro.
I have recently bought a MacBook Air because of all the nice ports. The best thing about it though is that I am finally happy with the built-in trackpad. I can type on it in a pinch. So I am happy with my Mac.
Goodbye, NSUndoManager
A huge part of my iOS developer experience is NSUndoManager. And as far as I know, I just don't like the idea of using UndoManager for anything. That is something I am not used to. I am used to
