BookTok

Have you ever wanted to join a book club from the comforts of your home? Are you too afraid to join one because you are anxious about people judging the tropes you like? Look no further as BookTok has your back. Now you may ask, what is BookTok? BookTok is a niche section of TikTok where people share their thoughts and reviews on books they have read or provide book recommendations. BookTok will always have a book that will fit your mood and taste. It can even change your thoughts on book tropes you promised yourself you will never read. BookTok will expand the range of books you will read. It allowed me to read Achillean and Sapphic books that I never thought I would read and love. The books that I read taught me the struggles the LGBTQ community and people of color go through every day. BookTok exemplifies the media's influence over society's culture and norms. #BookTok currently has 10.5B views on TikTok. With the popularity of BookTok skyrocketing in the past year, it opened doors for opportunities for authors and content creators alike. BookTok has such a massive influence on media that books published over three years ago became popular overnight. Shows and Movie adaptations have become more common because of BookTok. Some of the titles popularized by BookTok include Red, White and Royal Blue, The Song of Achilles, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets of The Universe. I will be sharing my thoughts on these titles. Popular authors and their books, such as Adam Silvera and Colleen Hoover, will also be mentioned and discussed in this collection. I will be providing a list of books, in the end, that BookTok recommended to me and ended up loving.
