What exactly is user interface??
The user interface is the space where interactions between humans and machines occur.
Types of user interface
1️⃣ Command line interface (CLI)
allow user to interact with computer system. 
E.g. user typing in commands (instructions), the computer will execute the commands and provide textual output
2️⃣ Menu driven interface
allow user to interact with computer or device by working way through a series of screens or menus
3️⃣ Graphical user interface
friendly interacting way that make use of pictures, graphics, and icons
4️⃣ Natural language interface
allow user to speak or type in normal everyday language in order to interact with computer
Interface Elements
Input Controls: buttons, text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdown lists, list boxes, toggles, date field
Navigational Components: breadcrumb, slider, search field, pagination, slider, tags, icons
Informational Components: icons, progress bar, notifications, message boxes, modal windows
Containers: accordion
Best Practices for Designing an Interface
Keep the interface simple
Create consistency and use common UI elements
Be purposeful in page layout
Strategically use color and texture
Use typography to create hierarchy and clarity
Make sure that the system communicates what’s happening
Think about the defaults
