The first major improvements in AutoCAD have occurred over the past 5 to 10 years, but it has been used and adapted by engineering teams in the construction, aviation, transportation, architecture, and manufacturing industries for over two decades.
AutoCAD is a specialized CAD application that runs on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers, on personal computers with integrated graphics controllers, on standard PCs, or on a mobile device. AutoCAD does not run on cell phones or tablet computers.

New-generation desktop CAD software programs, such as AutoCAD 2009, are also available, but they require a graphic-card that supports DirectX 10 or OpenGL (software rendering). These programs are not supported on systems that only support DirectX 9 and Windows XP.
AutoCAD running on a system that does not meet the minimum hardware requirements will not have any graphics capabilities. When graphics are required for CAD, a separate device with a graphics card must be installed.
The following are the steps required to install the current version of AutoCAD, based on the operating system that is installed on your computer.
Note: To be able to perform these steps, you must have Administrator privileges. If you are prompted for an administrator password, type your password.
Autodesk AutoCAD allows you to use the graphics driver that you have installed for your video card. AutoCAD does not allow you to choose a video driver in the default installation settings. However, if you have already installed a graphics driver for your card, you can select it in the installation wizard.

 In 2011, AutoCAD Full Crack released a new line of products, called C5. The core design and function of C5 is similar to AutoCAD Product Key LT, but it has some additional functions to create web or mobile apps for the owner.  The development of the software is done in partnership with Ideascale, an application developer and graphics design software company.

 AutoCAD 2012, released in September 2012, introduced functionality to create architectural models, such as BIM 360. It supports DWG, DXF and other file formats. It also includes custom application programming interfaces for programming with AutoLISP and Visual LISP.

 AutoCAD 2013, released in June 2013, is also a complete rebuild of the existing software. It uses the new technology of "design time", which gives a professional result without the need of a developer. The major new feature in 2013 is the ability to publish web apps using the Web Application Project. It also introduced the ability to publish an app in the App Store or Google Play for Android and iOS users. AutoCAD 2013 also supports an industry standard file format called Building Information Model.
 2014, Release C8
 AutoCAD 2014, released in September 2014, has a new interface, new features, and improvements. The new features include a new ribbon, the DesignCenter tool, and the ability to import and export data from other applications (through the BIM 360 standard). AutoCAD 2014 also includes a new design feature called "BIM360", which is a digital repository for BIM, which is a set of digital and visual information that is used by design professionals to achieve sustainable, good-performing design.
 2015, Release C9
 AutoCAD 2015, released in November 2015, has a new user interface, a new model, and expanded 3D modeling features.
 2016, Release C10
 AutoCAD 2016, released in April 2016, is a complete rewrite of the previous release, AutoCAD 2014. The new software now uses the.NET platform.
