Lizzie wrote these stories as a means of nurturing a long-distance relationship between herself and her grand-daughter, Olivia. Lizzie lives in Australia, and Olivia lives in Wales.After receiving one story, Olivia would suggest what she would like the next story to be about, and Lizzie would do her best to create something for her. It worked wonderfully and gave them both so much pleasure.So the stories are written, and received, with so much love, from a grandmother to her 5-year-old grand-daughter, Olivia.What a wonderful cycle of love.When Olivia found out that her grandmother, Lizzie, was in the process of having her stories published, she wanted to be the illustrator.The stories that her grandmother wrote for her when she was aged between 5 and 7 marked a special time in her life that helped her overcome her shyness.Olivia shared these wonderful stories in her class, to the delight of both her teacher and her classmates.Being the illustrator as well as the character, Olivia, described in the book, makes this a very special experience for her.
