In high school, year-long classes carry one (1) credit hour. Semester classes carry 0.5 credit hours. Students must earn at least 23 credits to graduate.Students may be recommended for the following 8th grade high school credit classes.FrenchLatinSpanish- When students pass two semesters of 7th grade World Language and two semesters of 8th grade World Language, they are awarded high school credit for French 1, Latin 1, or Spanish 1. Their 8th grade semester averages will appear on their high school transcripts. Usually, these students continue into French 2, Latin 2, or Spanish 2, all of which are offered at the on-level or honors-level, for 9th grade.
