Virtual Identity allows to add a mail address from within Thunderbird.
You can set an email address for instant creation as identity, and for each identity the sender-address will be changed.
Identities can be used for different purposes:

- The email address can be used to reply to another email.
- The email address is possible to authenticate the sender to your mail-server.
- The email address can be used to tag a message in the subject of the incoming email.
A summary and clickable credentials are shown in the message of the received email.
The main interface is a pop-up window that can be placed on top of the Thunderbird window.
Integration with Thunderbird:
The settings of the Virtual Identity can be set by using the Thunderbird preferences:
~/Library/Application Support/Thunderbird/Accounts/VirtualIdentity.json
The JSON file can be overwritten using the settings above.
You can also create the Virtual Identity using the Thunderbird menu:
View -> Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Virtual Identity.
This setting will overwrite the settings above.
The Virtual Identities can be stored in your local Thunderbird profile-folder (~/.thunderbird).
In case you want to use Virtual Identities from other Thunderbird profiles, you need to store the Virtual Identity in the account directory for that account.
