Poetry Portfolio Guide

Poetry has so many different styles and forms. The mere mention of poetry is usually followed by one of two responses in our classroom: 1. "I LOVE poetry!" 2. A groan followed by "I hate poetry." Regardless of which camp you fall into, if you keep an open mind and try, really try to work within the guidelines for each poem type, we PROMISE you will be successful! And maybe, enjoy yourself along the way! Each week we will ask you to explore 2 types of poems. Then you will write one of each type in your Poetry Portfolio in Classroom. We LOVE ending our year this way with a fun and creative unit!
