The first global database to offer unique identifying information on legal organizations involved in financial transactions worldwide is the Global LEI System (GLEIF). The database, which is entirely free to use and publicly available, creates an index of legal entities. Every entity in the database is given a distinct 20-digit code that allows it to be found in a variety of business processes and transaction reporting systems.

What Details Do I Need To Provide In Order To Get My LEI Number?

Essential Documents:

Registered Entity: Upon receiving authorization from the subject Legal Entity to serve as their VA, MNS will be able to get the necessary paperwork from the Registrar of Companies (ROC)/MCA. This simplified procedure will speed up the issuing, relieving burden on your company. Therefore, the only documents needed are the Letter of Authority and Consent Letter (on the business's letterhead, properly signed and stamped).

Non-Registered Entity: Basically, PAN, GST, IEC (Import Export Certificate), Audited Financials, and a Letter of Authority and Consent (on the company's letterhead, properly signed and stamped) are the fundamental documents that need to be given to MNS in order for them to take the appropriate action.

Identifier Example Of A Legal Entity

Every LEI is a 20-digit alpha-numeric code that is standardized. But none of the 20 digits are arbitrary. The first four are owned by the LOU or LEI issuer. The following two are always zero and zero. Twelve more numbers are unique codes for identifying legal entities, and the final two are check digits. You should receive your LEI confirmation email in a day or two after submitting your application in its entirety (Mon - Fri).
