Student Safety Reminders

Arrival & Departure
-walk bicycles when arriving on or leaving school property. All bicycles will be locked in the designated bicycle areas;
-yard supervision starts 15 minutes prior to the instructional day (8:45 am). Students should refrain from coming to school prior to this time (unless involved in a co-curricular activity);
-upon arrival, go directly to the assigned area, while waiting for the bell;
-students should not enter through the front doors before class unless for a pre-approved reason (sports, extra help that is pre-arranged);
-use the entrance designated for their classroom;
-move quickly and quietly to all classes in the time allotted;
-leave the building promptly at dismissal via the designated door or report promptly to the co-instructional activity;
-upon departure, go directly home (or follow other arrangements) unless involved in an after-school program;
-students dropped off by the front entrance are expected to use their proper entry door and refrain from going through the school prior to the entry bell, unless there is inclement weather.
Parking Lot
Students and families should use the walking/bike paths to the side of the parking lot. Please refrain from walking through the parking lot where cars may be travelling. Please make arrangements with your children regarding dismissal ahead of time. When driving, be aware of the children while using proper entrances/exits and avoid blocking the flow of traffic.
Kiss and Ride
Please remember our kiss and ride area is for quick exits of the vehicle. If you must get out of the vehicle to assist your child(ren) we ask that you park and secure your car in a designated spot.
