AutoCAD is a product of a partnership between Autodesk and a company called Micrografx. Autodesk and Micrografx announced in September 1980 the development of AutoCAD and MicroCAD, the first two commercial CAD programs. In August 1981, AutoCAD was launched as AutoCAD 1.0 by Autodesk and was commercially available for use in the fall of the same year. The first AutoCAD version was specifically developed for the Apple II, with a text-based user interface (UI). One of the features of the first version of AutoCAD was a feature called "Sketch". This feature allowed users to draw shapes as they could with a pencil and paper, then edit the shapes and retain their editing in a sketch file which could later be used for editing any other shape, in a similar fashion to a freehand drawing.
Since its initial launch, Autodesk has released two major upgrades to AutoCAD every year, along with minor releases every few months. Today, a typical AutoCAD installation includes the following:

From DE-OS 41 37 122 a device for emergency power supply is known which includes an electrically operated DC-DC converter for the on-board supply of energy. The DC-DC converter includes a control circuit which in the event of failure of the emergency power supply system converts an energy storage battery into a direct current, which is taken over by the electric motor of the internal combustion engine of the vehicle via a rectifier and stored in an intermediate circuit capacitor. In this way, the function of the on-board emergency power supply system is ensured and the internal combustion engine continues to run.
A disadvantage is that during the above-mentioned emergency operation a considerable amount of energy is converted into heat in the DC-DC converter. Furthermore, the emergency power supply cannot be controlled accurately when the internal combustion engine is started due to the lack of an ignition signal.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a motor vehicle which overcomes the disadvantages described above.
According to the invention, this is accomplished by providing a motor vehicle including a drive system having an internal combustion engine and a device for on-board emergency power supply. The device for on-board emergency power supply includes a plurality of energy storage elements for on-board emergency power supply as well as a DC-DC converter for on-board emergency power supply. The DC-DC converter includes a control circuit. The control circuit controls the operation of the DC-DC converter as well as a drive circuit for the internal combustion engine in dependence upon a status of the on-board emergency power supply.
Due to the availability of at least two energy storage elements and the device for on-board emergency power supply, the device for on-board emergency power supply can also be called upon in the event of an on-board emergency power supply failure and the energy storage elements can serve as a power reserve. By using the DC-DC converter with a control circuit, the DC-DC converter can be controlled, that is, converted into the desired state. This permits the operation of the drive circuit and the internal combustion engine to be controlled when an on-board emergency power supply failure occurs.
