1. Private global variables:

It is still possible to execute Lua code from a sandbox, but it is now extremely difficult to do a buffer overflow attack. Safe Lua has the following components:
· An unsafe Lua interpreter.
· A sandbox.
· A sandbox compiler.
As a result of the sandbox compiler, the safe Lua interpreter can call unsafe functions. This is the main characteristic of Lua when used inside a sandbox.

Sandbox Security
An API key is used to authenticate calls to the sandbox. The default key has a long time to live (120 minutes). Expired keys can cause Security Sandbox exceptions.
Use credentials.addAPIKey or credentials.removeAPIKey to add API keys or to remove API keys from the current sandbox.

Sandboxes are constructed by calling the sandbox constructor. A sandbox has an interpreter, compiler, and a repository of global variables. A sandbox must be created before any operations are performed in the sandbox.
