The majority of us who do have access to retail banking services also have a strong responsibility to hold our chosen banks to high ethical standards, i.e. to check what kinds of projects they support and if they are ethical/sustainable or not.

To take action against banks that invest their funds into unethical/unsustainable projects. A great starting point would be to shift banks and choose an institution that is paying attention to the types of projects it is funding.

Make more conscious decisions with how you spend your money and which brands you give it to, it is fuelling their  mission! If they are not in support of the fight against the climate crisis and saving the planet in their actions, you are only helping them  do more of what is worse for the planet.

There doesn't need to be a dichotomy between the world of business and the environment, the two can indeed co-exist and enable each other. It has been proven time and again, that making decisions based on good principle does in-fact only help businesses and the brand that they are trying to build within the community. The recent uptrend in consumers supporting businesses with a strong moral fabric proves this point.
