In April 2004, David Baszucki and Erik Cassel, developers who were both attending the Harvard Business School, developed Roblox to entertain themselves while working on their respective side projects. At that time, the project was called Robinlox, and the editors could create a primitive game of their choosing using a custom scripting language. That language was based on Lua, an open-source scripting language. In August 2006, they renamed the project to Roblox, because the name sounded a bit like a British boy’s nickname for the rodent.
In October 2006, the company was founded to develop an online game platform based on Roblox. This platform allowed users to create and distribute games, both in their own capacity and through a distribution system provided by Roblox. This first version of Roblox only allowed users to play games that they created using the tool. Whenever i try to transfer the roborus it says "Your account has unverified facebook or google as a friend. It is impossible to transfer ROBO from another account. To fix this issue, you need to contact your email provider as well as your friend list."
