Early history
An early predecessor to AutoCAD Full Crack was the Unigraphics system (1981), first released in 1971 and originally designed by the Unigraphics Corporation, a company founded by Canadian Robert Friedel. In order to simplify the use of Unigraphics, the company hired a former Compaq sales representative named Robert Johnson to market and market Unigraphics.
The first version of Unigraphics ran on a PDP-10 minicomputer, but as the PDP-10 market declined in the early 1980s, Johnson's company moved Unigraphics to the DEC PDP-11/70 minicomputer. Target 21s were only made for a short time. In 1982 Unigraphics began to be marketed as a stand-alone system, separate from the hardware, that was not tied to a particular computer type. The product was renamed Autodesk Unigraphics and was marketed for use on any compatible hardware platform, running on either 32- or 64-bit microprocessors, with or without external graphics hardware.
It was an extremely versatile application. It could render wireframes, 3D engineering models, engineering drawings, architectural designs, and even artwork. It could be used by an individual, or it could be integrated into other applications.
