Pro Lyrical is a legendary emcee from the Boston area who has published over 100 songs, has won scores of MC battles and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing/Economics) and a Master of Science in Mathematics from UMass-Lowell and a Doctorate of Education from Northeastern University. He is an associate professor of mathematics at the University of the District of Columbia where he also directs faculty development (UDC-CC Office of Academic Affairs). He was formerly an assistant teaching professor at Northeastern University in a first-year cohort model program (Foundation Year/CPS) where he also served as the sole instructor of Graduate Math Methods for the Graduate School of Education. He is regularly hired to perform and/or guest speak or to create music for corporations in marketing or advertisement spaces and, more recently, film and television placement. Pro is also known as Professor Lyrical when performing solo, or as Lyrical of the Cambridge-based rap group Invasion, and Lord Plourde of the Lowell-based X-Caliber. Pro is currently part of the rap duo “ProQuo” and his entirely clean album, iNSTANT BROTHERHOOD, is distributed by Sony Orchard.
