Week 21 of first grade

Week 21 marks the start of the third marking period and the start of in person learning for some students! We cannot wait to welcome scholars back into school and the classroom this week. In ELA this week we are going to continue with Lesson 14 discussing the importance of rules and laws. We will review school rules, health rules, game rules and community rules. We are going to continue talking about the long a sound made with magic e. In math we will continue to investigate measurement. Please be sure you have your pink strips of centimeter cubes and paper clips for this weeks lessons. February is Black History month so we will begin studying and reading about several famous African Americans that helped make our world a better place!
