The user interface and workflow of the program have since been expanded, and it now has an extensive collection of tools for 2D and 3D drafting, creating parts and assemblies, working with construction blueprints, and much more.
As the software market has evolved, users of AutoCAD have also come to depend on it for more specialized tasks. There is still a market for the more simple tools found in AutoCAD, however. AutoCAD is considered a well-established market leader and has been used in drafting for nearly 30 years. The company has also worked on many other types of software, including web-based tools and mobile apps. AutoCAD is currently used on an estimated four million personal computers, as well as many mobile devices.
