Starting October 9, 2019, Pacific Gas & Electric started planned power shutoffs that could impact approximately 800,000 people (actually much more) in 34 counties in California. These shutoffs may last 2-5 days and will undoubtedly leave older, disabled, and chronically ill people in danger. And this is just the beginning. Here are some responses to these events.
