AutoCAD For Windows
Autodesk's goal is to make AutoCAD a complete drafting system, and to make it available everywhere, on every platform and every device, to improve the efficiency of designers, engineers, and architects. As part of this effort, Autodesk gives AutoCAD away for free to academic, government, and non-profit institutions.

AutoCAD enables you to design, visualize, and create 2D and 3D computer-based drawings and models. These drawings can be used for almost any purpose: planning, product design, manufacturing, building, or engineering. AutoCAD can also serve as a command-line drawing program, a simulator, a database, a package, or an API.
Early versions of AutoCAD ran on a variety of microcomputer platforms, including the X1 (1983), X2 (1985), X3 (1986), PC, X4 (1986), X5 (1989), X6 (1990), X7 (1991), X8 (1992), X9 (1993), X10 (1996), X11 (1998), and X12 (2000). These versions supported Microsoft Windows, but since version 2014, it can also be run natively on OS X and Linux. AutoCAD also runs on Windows 10 and newer, as well as mobile devices such as iOS and Android.
Recently, the AutoCAD application has been delivered as a cloud service, which gives it a mobile app and web app. AutoCAD 2020 is the first release with a native iPad app, which is also available in the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore.
In AutoCAD, you can make 2D and 3D drawings and models, communicate with other applications (such as Microsoft Office), and simulate your designs. You can also create 2D shapes, edit drawings, annotate drawings, change the properties of individual objects, place objects on other objects, measure, and calculate.

Federal Minister of National Defence Dan McKinnon said he’s concerned about the growing gap between Canada and the U.S. in the wake of President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris Agreement on climate change.
But he said Trump’s decision is just the latest in a long line of American actions that will hurt Canada and its people, in the form of tariffs on Canadian products, for example.
He told a news conference in Halifax that Trump’s move is “really a sad and unfortunate decision for the future of the world.”
“We have a president in the United States that seems to want to be a permanent antagonist, he wants to be an eternal nation — he wants to be the strongest nation on earth — and he seems to want to bully and holler and put up with no opposition,” he said.
“That is not going to be good for anyone. It’s not going to be good for Canada, it’s not going to be good for the world. We don’t need a permanent antagonist in world leadership.”
That said, McKinnon doesn’t believe the Canada-U.S. relationship has deteriorated to the point where it’s a zero-sum game for both countries.
“Look, we can’t get so caught up in saying, ‘the United States is great’ or ‘Canada’s great’ and I’m the bad guy,” he said.
