AutoCAD History

The first version of AutoCAD, 1.0, was released in 1982. The original AutoCAD program ran on a 16-bit Intel 80286 microprocessor with an integrated Motorola 68000 CPU. The first version of AutoCAD was only available on the PC DOS operating system, but AutoCAD was planned to eventually run on Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms. The first version of AutoCAD is considered to be an integrated suite of software applications. AutoCAD 1.0 included 2D drafting tools, curve sketching and editing, integrated 2D and 3D annotation, and other features. In 1984, the first version of AutoCAD was released for Apple II, Apple Macintosh, and IBM PC platforms. In 1992, AutoCAD was released on the UNIX platform, as well.
The first CAD program to be released for the Macintosh platform was the Cad-Mac 2000 system, which was developed by Adobe and released in 1987. It included AutoCAD tools and was distributed with the Macintosh CAD System for Apple Macintosh computers. In 1990, for the Microsoft Windows platform, the AutoCAD Productivity Suite (also known as Autodesk's Windows CAD system) was released, combining AutoCAD tools with other MS Windows CAD products. In 1993, the first AutoCAD with powerful 2D and 3D functions was released. This version of AutoCAD, released in 1994, included enhanced functionality, allowing the creation of accurate technical drawings and the management of large projects. This version of AutoCAD, known as Release 1, required a Macintosh with 16-bit color graphics support.

PRETORIA (Reuters) - South African police have recommended that 25-year-old Mzwakhe Mdlalose be charged with murder, the eNCA television news channel reported on Tuesday.
The case has attracted widespread attention due to allegations that the farmer had called police to complain about intruders stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of animals, including goats, sheep and cattle.
Mdlalose, who was unable to come to the police station because he was at work, reported the case to them over the phone on June 2.
Police said he was found dead at home the next day.
Although the farmer was not at home when he called for police assistance, officers were able to trace his call from a landline and later traced the line to Mdlalose’s cellphone.Category: Health
