The Portable Araucaria (“PA”) software tool can be used to automatically reconstruct arguments, diagram and evaluate them, and save them as a Portable AML file. This software can also be used to manipulate and analyse a series of arguments, and when run in conjunction with Araucaria Amplifier, it can display and evaluate an entire corpus of arguments. It is ideal for teaching introductory argument analysis or for analysing the effectiveness of an argument to support a claim.
Araucaria contains both a Windows and Mac version. The Portable version will run on any UNIX/Linux/BSD, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
