Roblox Corporation was acquired by the media company Discovery, Inc. in 2014.
In March 2018, Roblox changed its name from "Roblox" to "Roblox Corporation".
Shortly after this change, Roblox Corporation announced that they would be using Discord for moderation.
The Discovery-owned Roblox Corporation also has offices in Florida, Singapore, Korea, and the United Kingdom.
Roblox Corporation is privately held. The company's annual revenue is estimated to be between $150M and $300M.[3][4]
Today, Roblox is owned by Discovery, Inc., a media conglomerate founded by John Hendricks and David Zaslav in 1984.[5] In 2018, Discovery announced that Roblox Corporation would be rebranded as a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Communications.
