Anza Borrego State Park

Drive about two-hours southeast of San Diego and you will find Anza Borrego State Park. This is the largest state park in California with a  600,000 acre stretch from eastern San Diego County to Imperial and Riverside Counties. Anza Borrego comes in second as being the biggest park in the contiguous United States, just behind Adirondack Park in northern New York. One can easily spend an entire weekend exploring and never see the same things twice. Numerous hiking, bicycle and horseback riding trails allow you to enjoy the stunning landscapes, inhale the fragrant flora and be awestruck by the many species of desert wildlife. A guide can point you in the right direction where you will most likely catch a glimpse of the endangered Big Horn Sheep.  Family programs, interpretive exhibits, camping and so much more await you in the Anza Borrego State Park.
