Let's be proactive, not reactive

If students are ill and need rest they shouldn’t come to school and don’t need to complete assignments until they return.

If there is a school closure...

Use Google Classroom to post virtual assignments.
Work is not mandatory because students may not have Internet access.
Post non-essential work to keep the curriculum moving.
Post whether there is work to do in your class or not so students and families feel connected to the school and know what is happening in their classes. Parents who are signed up as guardians in Google Classroom will receive notifications too.
This is a way to support students’ social-emotional well-being through connection with their teachers and peers, and by staying busy completing interactive assignments.
