Guiding questions to work on:
The first sentence of the Nature article calls for “drastic changes” in three areas: what are these areas? 
What is the relationship between meat production and deforestation? 
The article says: “Cows also produce large amounts of methane, a potent 
greenhouse gas, as they digest their food.” What could people change in their diet to reduce methane emissions from livestock? Consider that cows are not used just for meat production, but also for dairy products, such as milk, cheese, butter. 
Examine carefully the graph entitled “What if people ate less meat?”; what can you understand and what conclusions can you draw? 
The effect of cows on climate changes is two-fold: farming cows 
i) requires land which used to be forested, 
ii) releases large amounts of methane. 
Given these facts and their implications, and what you learn from the article, would you consider changing your diet?
