200 million workers strike against neoliberalism in India - Public Services International

One of the largest strikes in history has happened in India. PSI affiliates and workers across sectors and states have participated in the two day strike (8th and 9th January) to oppose the federal government’s anti-union, anti-worker policies and against privatisation. The strike is being taken in response to the Modi Government's attempts at neoliberal labour law reform and privatisation of public services, which will deepen inequality in India while leaving many workers worse off.
