Welcome to 7th grade Texas history! Texas is a unique state with a unique history. We will cover topics this year such as the geography of Texas, Native Americans, early Explorers, the mission system, Mexican independence, Texas independence, the Civil War, and many other historical events that made us what we are today. We will be exploring these concepts through in-depth class discussions and debates, critical thinking strategies, and a variety of other activities designed to promote high-level thinking and problem solving skills.
