Welcome, Earthlings! We will be traveling through space to learn about our solar system and we won't even have to leave our homes! Let's get started with a look at our learning objectives. These learning resources have been carefully selected for the following 4th Grade Science SOL: 4.7 The student will investigate and understand the organization of the solar system. Key concepts include a) the planets in the solar system; b) the order of the planets in the solar system; and c) the relative sizes of the planets. (Virginia Department of Education, 2020) As you work your way through this Wakelet, you will notice some different titles. Let's take a closer look: *Fuel Up: This is where we learn about how to be good digital citizens and stay safe on the Internet. *Numbered Stops: These are your learning stops. You will be watching videos, listening to Podcasts, or exploring interactive websites. There are 8 learning stops for 8 planets! *Captain's Log: This is where you can ask questions or show your learning on our class Padlet or Flipgrid pages. You can respond to each others' posts too! Now, countdown from 10 and let's blast off on our adventure! (This Wakelet was created for distance learning by April Surratt and Brittany Bowser.)
