The Sole Survivor
Excerpt from the book ‘The Aether of Venus’:
‘The average human body is almost five times heavier than the average whale’s. And while humans are eight times taller than whales, their bones contain almost eight times the amount of the same elements.
The average human brain weighs almost four times that of a whale. Yet whales can both hear and sing songs that carry for miles while the mind of a human is but a whisper. And while whales are born into the vast ocean while human babies are born into a cocoon of blankets and air, their minds are born into a universe with imagination and creativity that will guide them for their entire lives.
Humans are born with the ability to reason, to learn, to ponder, to question, to think, to dream. A human grows up in an innocent environment knowing nothing of death, of war, of poverty, of famine, of disease, of hate. In the face of death, this child merely continues to grow. But in the face of the mighty birth of the sun and its dazzling color, the human’s mind is nearly put to sleep. The child cannot connect it to the other parts of the cosmos.
When a whale looks up at the night sky, it knows the sun, the moon, the planets, and the stars. A whale knows what gravity is and how to shape its body to control it. But a human cannot teach itself how to live in the great ocean of reality, and therefore it gives up its dream and dreams no more.
An ocean of reality? Ha!
In truth, we are little more than a speck in the solar system called Earth. Our world is a blip on the map of reality. We are dwarfed by the vastness of our sky. And the vastness of the sea is a thousand times greater still. Why then do humans take their small, puny bodies and their puny minds and call them Earth?
Are we humans, mere players on a stage of existence?

A huge wave of futuristic
technology is about to wash over
the globe, making humans
invisible. Throughout
realms the new overlords
despoil resources, eliminate
mankind, and introduce
ubiquitous surveillance
systems to terrorize the
public. By the time
the world is recovered,
it will never be the same.
Now, you must return to
your hometown to protect
those you love as you
piece together what you
found in the aftermath.
The Game Core
Stats: You are a survivor.
You have fled the purgatory of
Westworld and returned to your
hometown. As mayor, you have
decided to stay in your
community. From now on,
you will struggle to protect
the smallholdings in your
diocese from a tyrannical
overlord and his minions,
forced to ward off unseen
toughs and monsters.
Objectives:
As mayor, you must develop
strategies to save the
neighborhoods. You will
battle-and-build with new
ideas and resources as you
put them into action.
Exploration:
On your travels, you will use
your weapons and resources
to research trade routes,
communities, and
technologies available.
Victory Conditions:
The better you
are prepared, the
greater the chances you
will win.
Tips:
Combat: You will have to
manage your resources well
to defeat your adversaries.
Management: You have to manage
all of the needs in your city
and ensure that the walls
around it are intact
Does anyone who has played the game before know if you are invincible to monsters after your tolgy quest? I have relistened to the first mission and haven't been attacked. Should I be afraid? Should I feel invinsible? I was thinking that you don't have to be afraid if you have completed the tolgy quest but I'm just a little concerned.
Need help. There is a fire monster that is on the chalice level. How do I defeat it? I tried playing a new game and that didnt work, I tried the jetpack and thats not working. The fire is killing me. I thought the jetpack would slow it down. Please Help.

As the realm of Malifactory does not exist for our crescent players, we decided to give

The player with the most kills in 2019 among the top 20th players of the following races of Malifactory will receive the "Emperor's Shield".
Zombies (10th-20th): maximum number of kills = 75
Mummies (10th-20th): maximum number of kills = 100
