i am trying to open a folder of files with their names in different formats. Those names are:
A.001.jpg
A.002.jpg
A.003.jpg
A.004.jpg
B.001.jpg
B.002.jpg
B.003.jpg
C.001.jpg
C.002.jpg
C.003.jpg
F.001.jpg
F.002.jpg
F.003.jpg
and so on. and i wanted to save their names as A.001.jpg, A.002.jpg, etc.
when i try to save in a new location, i get errors.
The problem with my save function is that i can save it in different formats, but i cant keep the order of names in it. 
I am using it on Windows 7 (32 bit).

It works fine with the last option on save as.. you just save it as.txt rather than.jpg
It takes a bit of work but you can use it. Copy your files to the same directory, paste them into a text file and save as.txt
