What's new in Photoshop version 12.1
If you are a Photoshop fan, then you know that we've added a lot of new features in the last two versions, and each new update provides some amazing new features.
Here are the latest features in Photoshop version 12.1:
Stabilization
We added stabilizer and stabilizer blend modes. The stabilizer consists of an infinite number of levels that enable you to enhance the edges and the shadows and the highlights. The stabilizer blend modes allow you to select the color used for the Stabilizer and a narrow band of shadows.
Image adjustment layers (also known as adjustment layers)
We added image adjustment layers. You can now create and manipulate layers that offer numerous image adjustments.
Adjustment layers can offer settings to the brightness, contrast, exposure, shadows, highlights, and vignette in addition to the sharpen tool and level.
Added lens distortion effects
We added the following lens distortion effects in Photoshop:
1. Using the effect tool, you can add a camera lens distortion effect to your image. The first level distorts the image and then a lens distortion effect appears in a second layer. You can then add more levels, each with a different level of distortion. You can then move or scale the new levels.
2. In addition to camera lens effects, you can also apply lens blurs to images.
3. You can add lens focus and depth of field effects.
Curve and Levels panel layout improvements
We added the ability to hide the Curve and Levels panel when not in use. In addition, we improved the layout of the Curve and Levels panel.
UI improvements and performance
There are some impressive improvements in the UI and performance, including:
Reduced the size of the browser and file dialogs and the CPU consumption.
Enhanced performance in the pan/zoom and canvas history panels.
Improved resizing for table and Microsoft Word files.
Properties panel improvements
We added a grid to the Properties panel to make it easier to select the properties you want to edit.
Texture Presets
We added the ability to create and edit the 18 texture presets that are included in Photoshop. Using the presets is similar to using the filter and gradients presets.
