Happy October, Wildcat families!
The month of September flew by and it has been amazing watching all of the classes build community, establish routines and begin the growth and learning that will take place over this school year. Thank you for being so supportive in ensuring a successful start to the 23/24 school year! Your children are cared for, supported and respected each and every day. AK Wigg is blessed with an incredible staff that looks after your children and works as a team to help the whole community! This week we will celebrate "World Teacher's Day" and I can't thank the educators at our school and throughout the DSBN enough for the work they do every day in service of kids.

During September, we had our Terry Fox walk, Rowan's Law day and Orange shirt day. I hope your children shared some of their learning around these important days!

Our Grade 4/5 class begins their week this week in their new classroom. Thank you to Mrs. Conway for all of her hard work preparing the room and to Mrs. Abraham for moving the music materials to a new space. Music will be taught in classrooms or the library going forward.

If I can support you in any way, please feel free to email or call the school. I spend as much time in my day as I can working with children, so I will respond when possible. Starting with your child's teacher is always recommended.
