Fly Tampa was one of the most anticipated scenery packages for Microsoft Flight Simulator X back in 2005. With new airport details, a dynamic taxiway system and plenty of other features, Fly Tampa quickly became the go-to add-on for Flight Simmers around the world.However, unlike many other sceneries from that time period which have been replicated or replaced by newer software packages, Fly Tampa cannot be bought from SimMarket or other digital distribution outlets anymore. It is out of print and hard to find. This was a crucial problem for the FS community. The scenery is very well-crafted and this made it all the more frustrating that it could not be purchased in stores anymore.Fortunately, we were able to find a way to completely repackage and re-release Fly Tampa, complete with bug fixes and other improvements, after months of hard work by Paul Fletcher (Fly Tampa Team Leader).There are still some issues with this package [the worst being [the main terminal building]. On certain occasions when flying through this building [in the default FSX version] , the plane will clip through the top of it. This can be fixed by either moving away from the building or by exiting & reentering the airport completely. We sincerely hope you all enjoy this package and we look forward to your feedback.Fly Tampa is a scenery development team headed by Robert Randazzo. Their most popular product is FSX: Acceleration's second airport scenery add-on for the Tampa International Airport (KPIA) in Florida, United States. After many months of development, the new release of Fly Tampa finally came to the public on April 1st, 2015. This updated release features updated traffic, runway lights and ground textures for the entire airport. The main addition to this new release lies in the terminal building. This part of the scenery was updated with high-resolution textures intended to provide an improved experience when flying through this area. The developers also released a new version for Prepar3D, using their own custom .XPACK file format. On November 15th, 2016 another update was released with updated graphics for V1.5 of both Prepar3D and FSX. After many months of development, the new release of Fly Tampa finally came to the public on April 1st, 2015.
