Bell work. Class work. Labs. Essays. Homework. No matter what we call our assignments, much of the classroom experience involves engaging with learning tasks. But what if we rebranded these tasks as main storyline, side quests, leveling up, and more. How we frame these tasks can have a distinct impact on students' motivation and can foster student choice and agency in our classrooms.
