In this module, we individually watched from a recorded Zoom conference, the host was Kevin Honeycutt. While reading through the flyer I was a bit overwhelmed because there was so much on it. After watching the Zoom conference, I understood it and it wasn’t so overwhelming to read. The flyer talks about making your own app, tools for online use, video breakdown, supply list, etc. These all were talked about in the video and how we can use these as educators in the future. 
	Kevin Honeycutt, I honestly had never heard of before this module, but I’m happy I watched it and I learned a lot from it. Firstly, I learned that Mr. Honeycutt has a huge heart, and wants his child to be creative, just like the magic show they have in the background, to the custom-made curtains in his son’s bedroom. At the beginning of his lecture, he talks about how “Things work...until they don’t” which is so true especially in teaching right now. I especially liked his slide about “building real relationships in surreal times” and it got me thinking about how teachers are building those relationships with their students. I believe it was hard at times before to build relationships with certain students, but now it almost seems impossible to achieve building any relationship. When students don’t attend Zoom classes for the multiple reasons listed throughout the video, it can and will be difficult to help those students. 
	Mr. Honeycutt gave an example of getting to know you at the beginning of the school year, and it really went in-depth. He didn’t want to just know your favorite color or your favorite animal, but he wanted to know what your ACE score is, your strengths or almost strengths, (weaknesses were excluded), fears, skills, whats comforts the students, etc. I especially loved his story of him and his wife and their first child, and how they couldn’t afford to get sonograms. Plinko was a great way (I never would’ve thought about it this way) to show students how they can change just by simple life choices. He explained how just because you were born into poverty, doesn’t mean that you will end up there, and by making good life choices and staying on track you can achieve anything you work hard for. I really liked his idea of the bit.ly/covidrace2020 to show students their progress and how they are doing, I think this can encourage them to work hard/harder if they’re not where they want to be.
	Kevin talked about the “#realwriter” and how those students in that teacher’s class can talk about how they are published, authors. Small things like this help encourage students to know that their dreams are possible, and it excites them for where they could go from there. Temi was also very cool, and something I’d never seen before. I thought it was very cool if only that was possible for any school district to put their money towards. I think having the Alexa (small speaker device) in the classroom though would benefit some classes. There were tons of ways to interact or excite the students while also being up to date with technology in the classroom. Overall from watching this video, I learned a lot of ways to be more interactive with students over online teaching, and how we can both be excited to learn this newer way.
