I know and acknowledge that Seasons 7 and 8 werent very good.Ive determined where this show breaks sideways. For all its successes and flaws, for me, its the bizarre superhero team heading north of the wall in Season 7 Episode 6.Theres no reasonable explanation for having The Hound, Gendry, Jon, Tormund, et al go together. It reeks of bad fanfiction.The storyline itself is fine, the action scenes are some of the best in the series. But the set up is so convoluted it doesnt pass the straight face test.The dialogue north of the wall is mostly played for laughs. Comments between Gendry and Thoros. Silliness between the Hound and Tormund about Brienne. Thoros and Jorah reliving old battles.Its like The Avengers. Which is fine for a Marvel movie, but for a fantasy series that takes itself seriously, the tone is way off.To top it all off, it ends with a cookie tossed to the JonDanny shippers after we get Zombie Dragon.The entire episode reeks of fan service. It isnt the worst episode of the series - not even close. But its one of the first episodes that makes you think uh oh...This includes:posting links to the materialposting links to places where the material is hostedsharedPM meAny other loopholes that you might dream up.Infinite spoilers are only allowed to be discussed in Spoilers Infinite posts.
