The scholarship is provided to a limited number of students based on merit and can be availed of both by existing GIIS students or new admissions. This scholarship is available for grades 7 to 10 in the case of the Hadapsar campus and grades 7 to 12 in the case of Balewadi campus. The scholarship is for a period of  two years and one can apply for it between 1st and 31st March, 2021. The eligibility criteria are as under: 
Category A
CBSE, ISCE, State Board/Other Board students need to obtain a minimum of 97.1% marks and IGSE/GCE/GCSE “O” level students have to have scored an A* in all 9 subjects to qualify for a scholarship that provides a 20% waiver on the tuition fee.
Category B
CBSE, ISCE, State Board/Other Board students need to obtain a minimum of 95.01% to 97%  marks and IGSE/GCE/GCSE “O” level students have to have scored an A* in all 8 subjects to qualify for a scholarship that provides a 15% waiver on the tuition fee.
Category C
CBSE, ISCE, State Board/Other Board students need to obtain a minimum of 93.01% to 95%  marks and IGSE/GCE/GCSE “O” level students have to have scored an A* in all 7 subjects to qualify for a scholarship that provides a 12% waiver on the tuition fee.
Category D
CBSE, ISCE, State Board/Other Board students need to obtain a minimum of 90% to 93%  marks and IGSE/GCE/GCSE “O” level students have to have scored an A* in all 6 subjects to qualify for a scholarship that provides a 10% waiver on the tuition fee.
The selection process essentially comprises a scholarship assessment and if need be a one-on-one interview of the students in question.
