Gingerbread Day:
This month we have been learning about gingerbread people and comparing / contrasting the various books. To celebrate the holidays and the humiliation of our gingerbread unit, we will be decorating gingerbread houses.
The students have decided to make a gingerbread city with their gingerbread houses. Each kiddo signed up to make a specific part of the city. Some kiddos have teamed up and even drew out plans.
To make this city a possibility I will need your help. Each kiddo needs to bring their own gingerbread house. I prefer the pre-made ones since it will give the kiddos more time to decorate.
Let's have their building in the classroom by the 16th. We will be making our city mid shift of the 17th. I will also need a few more parent helpers that day.
Let's bring various candies to decorate the houses. I am open to any kind of candy to help build our city. We will need tons of royal icing to help keep our city together. Any donations would be great.
