GLOBALIZATION AND CULTURE OF THE PHILIPPINES
The Philippines is known as one of the most countries that are rich in Culture and Values. Hence, the Philippines has a rich history combining the influence of Asian, European, and American because of the Spanish Colonization in the year 1521 (United Nations Development Programme, n.d.). Culture, place, and identity are related to each other. A vital part of our culture is the languages we speak and the music and food we enjoy. Therefore, Globalization also changes our personalities by enabling us to encounter a broader variety of cultural cultures, such as food and music. According to Fernando (2021), Philippines has 76 to 78 language groups and 500 dialects.

In 1935, English and Spanish were declared official languages by the Constitution of the Philippines. And the Tagalog language was declared as the national language in 1939. Thus, in 1959, it was renamed Pilipino, and in 1973, eventually, Filipino. Filipino and English are named as joint official languages in the present Constitution (Fernando, 2021). Aside from the Language, the culture of food in the Philippines was also influenced by foreign countries. According to Fernando (2021), the Filipino foods that were influenced by other nations are Paella, Morcon, Burger, Pies, Noodles, Samgyupsal, etc. Moreover, according to the website of Numpty Nerd, the evolving use of technology by globalization reshaped the identities of Filipinos. Thus, Facebook, Weibo, Line have become a part of the lives of many people. And because of this Globalisation, made a positive and negative impact on our Traditional Culture.
